Walk to School Month

The benefit of having active travel habits has been proven to be considerable. Not only does this reduce the volume of traffic at the school gates, it has also shown to improve the health and well-being of young people.

With this in mind, the Junior Road Safety Officers have set a challenge across the whole school for as many children as possible to attempt to travel actively to and from school during this month. Their travel will be tracked on a wall chart in their classroom. As a reward for their success and efforts, the classes in Reception & KS1 and KS2 with the most active travel behaviours over the four weeks will be awarded an extended playtime and be presented with a £15 WH Smith voucher to spent as they wish. All children at the end of the challenge will be presented with a badge.

If you can get involved, please do so. We look forward to seeing lots of moving feet!

Thank you for your continued support.
