Updated guidance – Family holidays during term time

Upon further investigation via County Hall and an attendance advisor, it is apparent that any family holiday of 5 days or more (or 5 days or more unauthorised holiday within an academic year) taken during term time  will now be subject to a penalty notice being requested unless, of course, the absence is due to ‘exceptional circumstances’. 

Requests that have already been received and recorded on registers will not be affected.  However please note that with effect from Monday 27th January it will be necessary for all future requests to be subject to the new guidelines.
