Assistant Head Teacher Appointment

Following a positive interview process yesterday, I am delighted to inform you that we have successfully recruited a new Key Stage 2 Assistant Head Teacher to replace Mr Dadley. Mrs Halkett will take up the role from August 2026 when we return following the summer holidays.

Mrs Halkett is already a very familiar face around school.  She has worked here for 20 years across many of our year groups and also as Year Leader in Year 4 and Year 6.  Mrs Halkett brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience but also a passion to help develop our school and a desire to see our children succeed.  I am sure that you will join with me in congratulating Mrs Halkett on her new position!

I would also like to take this opportunity to again thank Mr Dadley for his contribution to Battling Brook over the last three years and wish him well as he begins his new role as Head teacher of a primary school in Warwickshire.

Finally, as the end of term is upon us, on behalf of myself and all of the team at Battling Brook, we wish you a restful and enjoyable Easter break and we look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday 14th April (Monday 13th is a staff training day).
